Nosferatu (with Keely O'Shannesy) - Reshoot & Live Performances - various venues - 2004-05

Based on a scene by scene analysis of the original movie, Nosferatu, this project was an exploration into the possibilities of live narrative film performance. Involving two seperate shoots (one 'on-set' and one 'on-location' at Monselvat), key-scenes from the movie were re-shot with local actors. Heavily processed to imitiate the orginal look and feel of the movie, these scenes were cut up for use in live performances. Performance venues include First Floor, Loop and the Melbourne International Animation Festival (where not only was this re-shot footage played live, but live sound, animation and puppetry were combined to present a truly Brechtian video performance).
